Automatic battery backup system
A built-in backup system supports automatic switching to an external power supply (13.6V DC) if the AC power supply fails.
Trunking capabilities
Compatible with the SmarTrunkII TM, LTR trunking, MPT1327 or Passport systems.
Internal space for Duplexer and Isolator
The FR3000/FR4000 has an internal space to install a duplexer and isolator. The controls of the duplexer are accessible from the front panel of the repeater without disassembly.
Advanced 2-Tone/5-Tone systems
2/5-tone encoder/decoder and DTMF encode/decode signaling are equipped as standard. Fully compatible with ICOM's F series radios. Also DTMF remote capability allows you the ability to control the repeater from a remote location over the air or over a phone line.
Multiple CTCSS & DTCS tone memories with multiple memory channels
Program up to 16 CTCSS/DTCS tones per channel. This feature allows you to share a chennel with multiple user groups. You can also give priority/exclusive use to a specified group simply by programming different tones to another memory channel.
Operating security
Optional voice scramber units, UT-109 (32 codes) and UT-110 (1020 codes), for secure communications, are available.
